Business Meeting and Election: On Saturday, October 28, at 8:00 a.m., member programs will debate motions on key issues facing the Association and the profession and hear updates from leaders of PAEA and other PA organizations. Election results will be announced. The agenda and additional information on this meeting can be found in the Business Meeting Book, which will be available soon.

If I want to talk to someone who holds the same position as I do, where should I go?

On Thursday, October 26, from 9:30 – 10:20 a.m., PA educators with the same job responsibilities will gather and discuss issues pertinent to those roles during retreats.

Is there a tool to help me plan my Forum?

Again this year, we will offer a mobile app to help you navigate the event and plan your schedule. This feature is coming soon, so stay tuned!

How many CME credits can I earn?

Nearly every education session at the 2017 Education Forum is eligible for Category 1 CME credit. The AAPA Physician Assistant Review Panel has awarded 98.5 hours of Category 1 CME credit for a maximum of 19.5 hours. This does not include workshops' CME credits.

Remember, you must complete an evaluation for each session to claim your CME. Only those hours actually spent participating in a CME activity should be claimed.

Who will I see in the exhibit hall?

A list of exhibitors and a map of their locations in the Exhibition Hall is available and will also be included in the final program.


Where in Denver is the 2017 PAEA Education Forum being held?

All events and activities are based out of the Sheraton Denver Downtown. Check-in is at 3:00 p.m.; check-out is at 12:00 p.m. (MST)

How do I get free Wi-Fi Internet in the conference area?

Wi-Fi will be complimentary during the event. Check back soon for more details.

How do I get free Wi-Fi Internet in my hotel room?

If you join Starwood Preferred Guests (SPG) before you come to the Forum, use your SPG number at check-in and Wi-Fi in your room is complimentary! Otherwise, Wi-Fi will cost $7.95 per 24 hours for standard Internet (10MBps) or $14.95 per 24 hours for premium Internet (20MBps). There is also complimentary Wi-Fi in the hotel lobby and at Peet's Coffee.

When should I arrive in Denver?

Forum registration begins on Wednesday, October 25, at 1:00 p.m. The Forum officially kicks off on October 25 at 6:00 p.m. with the Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall. For more details, see the agenda.

How do I get to the hotel?

The Denver International Airport (DEN) is located about 25 miles from the hotel and is conveniently accessible by taxi or public transit.

The University of Colorado A Line train provides easy and affordable transportation between downtown Denver, Denver International Airport, and along I-70. Cost: local ($2.60), regional ($4.50), or airport fare ($9.00) depending on your destination. Train departs every 15 minutes and has eight stations total, including Union Station and the Denver Airport station. You can find more detailed information about transportation from the airport either on the hotel’s website or on the Denver International Airport site.

What is there to see/do/eat in Denver?

From museums to shopping to the opportunity to stand exactly 5,280 feet above sea level (one mile high!) on the west steps of the Colorado State Capitol, Denver offers something for everyone. The Sheraton is also conveniently located in the middle of dozens of great restaurants. Check out the Visit Denver site to figure out how to get around town easily and to learn about the best activities and restaurants Denver has to offer.


What if I'm just presenting at the Forum but don't plan to stay for the conference?

All attendees must wear identification badges during the conference. Please contact us at Forum@PAEAonline.org if you are presenting but otherwise not attending the Forum. If you change your mind and want to attend the conference, you can register on-site. To get more information about presenting at the Forum, visit our Presenter Resources page.


Do you offer group discounts?

Because we have made every effort to keep costs as low as possible, we are unable to offer group discounts. The best rate is available during “early bird” registration.

Am I able to transfer my registration?

Yes. If you need to change the name on a registration, contact us at Forum@PAEAonline.org. There is no additional charge to do so.

What is the dress code?

Business casual is the suggested dress code for this event. Remember that meeting rooms tend to be a bit cold, so a sweater or light jacket might be necessary.

What will the weather be like?

Typically in October, Denver averages a daily maximum temperature between 61 and 69°F. The minimum temperature usually falls to between 34 and 38°F. The days tend to cool quickly during October.
